Terms of use

These terms apply when you use citadelframe.com, the CitadelGate portal and Citadel early-access programmes. Product licence and subscription terms will be published before any product is sold. Last updated 5 November 2026.

1. Who we are and accepting these terms

citadelframe.com and the Citadel Suite are operated by Kemptechnology (PTY) Ltd, South Africa ("we", "us"). By using the site or taking part in an early-access programme you agree to these terms. If you use the site for an organisation, you confirm you may accept them for it.

2. Products in development

CitadelGate, CitadelFrame, CitadelLite and CitadelPen are in development. Descriptions marked planned or in development describe intended features, which may change or not be released. Nothing on this site is an offer to sell; there are no prices, subscriptions or checkout yet. Before any product is sold, we will publish its price, what is included, renewal and cancellation terms, and its licence agreement.

3. Early access, pilots and waiting lists

  • Joining a waiting list or early-access programme is free and carries no commitment, and does not guarantee access.
  • Pre-release software is provided for evaluation "as is". Use it on test or non-production devices first, keep backups, and do not rely on it as your only protection.
  • A CitadelGate pilot may be covered by a separate written pilot agreement, which takes precedence over these terms where they differ.
  • We may change or end an early-access programme at any time.

4. Accounts

Keep your sign-in details and multi-factor authentication device secure, and tell us promptly if you suspect misuse. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend accounts that put the service or other customers at risk.

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • attack, probe, overload or try to gain unauthorised access to the site, the portal or other customers' data;
  • use Citadel products to access, test or change systems you do not own or have written permission to manage or test (this may also be an offence under the Cybercrimes Act 19 of 2020);
  • upload malicious code, or use the services to break the law or infringe others' rights;
  • copy, resell or reverse-engineer the services except where the law allows.

To report a security vulnerability responsibly, see our security page.

6. Intellectual property

The site, its content and the Citadel software belong to Kemptechnology (PTY) Ltd or its licensors. Our guides may be shared with a link back to the original page. Microsoft, Windows and Microsoft Defender are trademarks of the Microsoft group of companies; Citadel products are not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft. Other names belong to their owners.

7. Guides and information

Our guides and scripts are general information to help you, not professional, legal or security advice for your situation. Test scripts before using them and keep backups.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, the site and pre-release software are provided without warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or loss of data or profit, arising from their use. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or other law that cannot be excluded, or our liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

9. Privacy

Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information.

10. Changes, law and contact

We may update these terms and will change the date at the top; continued use after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and South African courts have jurisdiction. Questions: use our contact form.
