Permission first, then testing

  1. Apply as a security team

    Tell us your organisation, your role and how you plan to use CitadelPen.

  2. Show authorisation

    Provide evidence that you own, or have written permission to assess, each website or network you name.

  3. Agree on scope

    Set the approved targets, testing boundaries and assessment window before any testing begins.

  4. Review clear findings

    Findings are tied to the approved scope, explained in plain language and linked to the people responsible for fixing them.

Not every application will be approved. Approved teams will only receive access after product security and release checks are complete.

Frequently asked questions

Can I sign up for CitadelPen?

Not yet. There is no public sign-up, checkout or download, and applications are not open. You can register interest and we will contact you when applications open.

Why is access reviewed?

Security testing tools can do harm in the wrong hands, and testing systems without permission is illegal in South Africa under the Cybercrimes Act. Every applicant will need to show they are authorised to test the targets they name.
